Main Article Content
Abstract
This research addresses the lack of quality urban infrastructure in the Colón municipality of Zulia state, a factor that limits the development of sustainable tourism in the region. In response to this problem the architectural design of a Tourist and Recreational Complex in the La Maroma sector is proposed, with the aim of creating an attractive and functional space for users that will boost tourism and improve existing urban infrastructure. The study is framed as a feasibility project, combining field research with documentary research, and adopting a projective and descriptive approach. The research process began with the collection of theoretical information, followed by a diagnostic phase that allowed for the analysis of the physical and spatial characteristics of the study area. Subsequently, a detailed formal and functional analysis was carried out, which defined the generating concept, design criteria, proposed volume, area programs, spatial interrelationships, and zoning. As a final result, a comprehensive project was developed that encompasses areas of accommodation, recreation and commerce, all interconnected by walkways and extensive green areas.
