Main Article Content
Abstract
Prodycom C.A., located in Barcelona, Bolívar Municipality, Anzoátegui State, experienced high exposure to occupational hazards in its high-rise construction activities due to a lack of standardized procedures, preventive controls, and adequate safety policies. This situation increased the likelihood of workplace accidents and compromised the physical integrity of workers. Given this context, it was decided to conduct research to design a Scaffolding and Canopy Lift Operations Program for Heights, which would address the need to establish safe processes in compliance with national and international legal frameworks. The program was developed as a feasible project with a mixed approach, utilizing tools such as the ILO Ergonomic Checklist, Cause-Effect Analysis, and the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Matrix (IPER), which allowed for the diagnosis of recurring failures and critical risks in operations. The program includes technical procedures, job assignments, regulatory guidelines, and an institutional occupational safety policy. The proposal seeks to reduce accidents, improve working conditions, and serve as a model for other organizations in the construction sector. It was also validated by experts, who confirmed its relevance, applicability, and preventive value.
