Abstract

This essay was born with the intention of expressing the feelings of the university graduate when exposed, to a scarce and extremely demanding labor market, where the competition is numerous. The uncertainty is growing due to the current economic situation in Venezuela, which has the consequence that the recent graduates must use part of their skills to, in many opportunities, start their own business in order to consolidate their economic independence. The research is presented as documentary, for which the theoretical contributions of Arráiz (2008) and Ivancevich (2006) are used. The results obtained make it evident that countries like Venezuela require entrepreneurial professionals, capable of leading their own business initiatives; for this purpose, universities must include in their study plans, subjects in the initial semesters that promote both attitudes and aptitudes towards innovation and business development; Likewise, they suggest strategic alliances with the business sector along with the university so that, through simulation, students develop a business thinking based on leadership and entrepreneurship.
