Main Article Content
Abstract
The formation of critical and reflective citizens in the globalized society of the 21st century leads us to consider strategies that allow us to face very important challenges. Variables such as communication, the availability of information, weaknesses and deficiencies in the management of basic knowledge by high school students entering the University Studies, makes it difficult to develop citizens trained for the creation, discernment and inspiration to new methods, techniques and ways of approaching social problems. That is why it is proposed to focus the construction of the curriculum on the development of skills that seek the creation of knowledge between the teacher and the students, encourage discussion, and promote innovative and creative research. These tools are those proposed by the “Socratic Maieutics” where the teacher assumes the guiding role of the knowledge creation process and the student is a coparticipant and protagonist of it. This tool seeks to strengthen the formation of critical, reflective, sensitive citizens committed to the attention to diversity.
