Abstract

The world is in a period of energy crisis. It has been expended time and  money in development of alternative energy sources, including the natural gas,  and the type of pit where they are extracted, low or high rate of production,  having a common problem; over time, for natural reasons, liquids (water,  hydrocarbon or mixture), are introduced, generating losses in gas production  capacity. Attending such situation, it was estimated from a study aims to  develop a model to support management decision, making to improve the  productivity of gas wells, based on the determination of the critical conditions,  because their control prevents natural liquid loading. In order to achieve the  above objective, the used methodology is related to the positivist focus and the own design of research field that, among other involved aspects, implied: the  determination or different problematic situations joined to the charge of liquid  in gas well, as well as associated supposed. Identification of requirement for the  design model of making decision; design and construction of corresponding  model; and evaluation and testing. In general, the developed model use as a  simulation method for analyzing a gas well and takes into account a number of  elements or managerial variables; moreover as computational tool was used  MATLAB in its R2009 version. In conclusion, it can be said that the model  allows get a group of parameters of interest, that serve as tools to senior  executives to make decisions at benefit of productivity of a well studied.
