Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of this research article is to analyze the humanist economy as a guiding principle of the Colombian public administration, for which a documentary review was carried out consisting of a series of sections where the origins of the humanist economy are reflected, the guiding principles of this branch of the economy and the current state of the Colombian public administration facing the challenges of this new millennium. Methodologically, the qualitative approach was approached from the hermeneutic method contemplated in the documentary review, which allowed, after an exhaustive review of different secondary sources, to conclude that: in Colombia, the public administration is historically marked by corruption administration and embezzlement of the Nation’s funds. Different government efforts have closed their political cycle in embezzlement scandals and tax crimes against the wealth of the people. Faced with such a situation, it is necessary to redirect the governmental administrative system towards the principles of ethics and values proposed by the humanist economy.
