Main Article Content
Abstract
This essay analyzes a set of ideas concerning technological research, particularly at the “Antonio José de Sucre” University Institute of Technology (IUTAJS). It reflects on how Special Degree Projects are structured, aligning them with public policies and the needs of the productive sector. The discussion explores the methodology of technological research as a process within the Special Degree Project (TEG), identifying its normative elements and the stages of the research process from a broader technological perspective. It is highlighted that this type of research transcends the classic division between theory and practice, becoming an epistemological approach focused on creating applied knowledge with direct social impact. The conclusions emphasize the necessity of establishing a consistent and flexible normative framework, thereby ensuring academic quality and relevance. The TEG Manual is positioned as a key tool for systematizing research processes. In sum, technological research is established as a strategic modality that integrates academic training, applied research, and social transformation.
